Our Story

Looking for reliable Fannin County junk removal? Junk Generals is your local family-owned junk removal business! We have been officially in business since 2018. With that said, I, Matthew Jourdan, started hauling junk for neighbors as a kid! When I was 11 years old, I had the idea that I could start a little business, so by the time we fully incorporated and paid for a business license and insurance, I already had 8 years of experience. What I didn’t have experience with, however, was paying for help.

Back then, my dad was free labor; he drove, paid for the dumping, and even the gas for the truck! What started as a one-kid little business in Marietta has now grown into a full junk removal service covering North Georgia, which includes Fannin County. Since 2018, we have spent a lot of time working down south of Atlanta, and after years of Atlanta traffic, we have decided to change our focus to North Georgia, from Marietta up!

Growing up in Cobb County, specifically Marietta, you would think that we wouldn’t have very much experience working as far north as Fannin County, but that’s not quite true! We’ve done several jobs as far as Fannin over the years. While I can’t honestly say that we are in that area every day, our team has worked for several customers in the county and is excited to add more!

No Fannin County junk removal job is too big for Junk Generals!

This year, we were able to help out a couple in Morganton with a large amount of yard debris that had piled up. They had just moved to town, and they found that the previous owners had left piles of firewood for them; unfortunately, it was rotten firewood! Upon arriving, we found that there were also a couple of trees down. Junk Generals always comes prepared, usually! We had our chainsaw with us, and we were able to get the couple of downed trees picked up as well!

Additionally, we were lucky enough to be chosen to help out a customer who was going through a bathroom remodel in Blue Ridge. He reached out and asked if we were set up to haul construction debris and was met with a resounding yes! As of 2026, we are now able to offer junk removal, demo, and even some bobcat work in every city in Fannin County, including Blue Ridge, Morganton, McCaysville, Mineral Bluff, and Epworth!

Pricing

Our pricing structure varies a little bit, but it is based on a few different factors. We start at a minimum of $225, and go up from there depending on how much you have, where on your property it is located, and how much it weighs. My example is that a truckload of cardboard will cost less than a truckload of pianos generally; however, if the pianos are in the garage and the cardboard is in the attic, they may end up being pretty close in price!

  • Minimum Pickup: $225

  • Full load in Driveway/Curbside/Garage: $650

  • Full load going into customer’s house: $750

  • Full load of heavy/construction debris: $850

We also handle any and all of the harder-to-dispose-of items! Junk Generals is set up to haul everything from yard waste, dirt, and concrete to pianos, mattresses, and paint. Items that are a bit more difficult to handle are a little bit harder to blankly put a price on a website. Disposal, Recycling, and Donation

Junk Generals has a commitment to keeping items out of the landfill. The best place for your items to go is a local nonprofit to help others. This keeps items going from one owner to the next with no step in between. If that’s not an option, the next best is to recycle. We are able to recycle a ton of different items, such as metal, cardboard, paper, yard waste, concrete, dirt, and brick.

After we’ve done that, then the last stop, and last choice, is a dump. We go to local landfills or transfer stations to legally get rid of whatever’s left. With that said, we are excited to say that’s a small percentage of what we haul. In 2025, we recycled almost 100% of items such as appliances we picked up. Fannin County has both one of our favorite recycling centers and one of our favorite transfer stations. The yard waste recycling in particular is also a locally owned business!

It depends on your personal finances, of course, but while we’re higher than hauling it yourself, we handle all the labor and give you your Saturdays back! We are also able to work with a range of budgets and can usually find a solution to make your junk just disappear.

Is anything too big or too small for Junk Generals?

Nope! We handle everything from single-item pickups all the way up to full property cleanouts and demos.
