My name is Matthew, and I own and operate Junk Generals Junk Removal. We started officially in 2018, though I was helping out neighbors with their junk removal, thanks dad, since I was 11 years old. Junk is in my blood, and by 2018, my little business idea, thanks to a business license and getting commercial insurance, had become a reality.

We started going at it full time, and somewhere between then and now, it has turned into a full-fledged business. While we are still a small, family-owned and operated business, we have been able to reinvest in the company and are now equipped to handle most anything that might come our way. We have been able to handle everything from small, single-item pickups, to whole house demolitions and property cleanups. Now, with us getting more and more calls, we are happy to be able to add Gordon County to our list of serviceable areas.

After growing up in Cobb County, I realized that while there is plenty of work, we had more customers that we could service up in Gordon. With junk removal, the way we charge is really based on what you’ve got. We come up to quote based on a few factors: how large the pile of stuff is, how heavy it is, and where it’s located on your property. For example, if you have a large couch up two flights of stairs, it may cost the whole $200 minimum charge, but if it’s in the garage, it might just be $125 of that $200 minimum fee, meaning you can find some more junk without changing the price! So while there are lots of variables, we do have some pretty well-set prices, and we’ve listed them below:

  • Minimum Pickup: $200

  • Full load in Driveway/Curbside/Garage: $650

  • Full load going into customer’s house: $750

  • Full load of heavy/construction debris: $850

Junk Generals also has the expertise to handle harder-to-dispose-of items like yard waste, dirt, concrete, pianos, mattresses, and paint. Disposal, Recycling, and Donation

People ask us all the time, “What sets Junk Generals apart from the competition?” While we have quite a few answers to give to a question like that, one is always our push to keep items out of a landfill. There are some items we have this handled already; for instance, in 2025, we recycled almost 100% of our appliances!

But for the rest, we have a standard procedure to keep items out of a dump. We start by donating all we can, and what we can’t, we recycle. Only what’s left after those two stops is what ends up in the actual landfill or transfer station. You can always have a clear conscience when hiring us that everything gets disposed of in the most ethical and legal way possible, i.e., no side-of-the-road dumps!

Is Junk Generals expensive?

That’s a tough question. We will definitely cost you more than if you do it yourself, but we can’t work for free! With that said, we can work with most budgets to, at a minimum, help you make a plan to regain that space.

Is anything too big or too small for Junk Generals?

We can do it all! While we cannot tear down a whole skyscraper, we could empty it out! We do everything from single and small item pickups all the way up to boats, shipping containers, and tearing down whole houses.
