We have been in the business officially since 2018, but with that said, I’ve got more experience than that. My name is Matthew, and I am the owner of Junk Generals. When I was 11, I started hauling neighbors’ junk. By 2018, we had a license and insurance, and now, we are full-fledged junk hauling masters.

Since incorporating, we have hauled just about everything you can think of, from furniture to appliances to playsets and trampolines, all the way to cars and tearing down whole houses! Junk Generals works right here in Lumpkin County! We are based out of Marietta, but have spent years working all over the north side of the Metro. Specifically, we brush-hogged his field and emptied out his old barn. That was a fun job as we were able to go hike Amicalola while we were out there.

Customers always want to know a quote before we show up, and thanks to cell phones, we can pretty much always do that. We charge differently based on what each customer has, and the easiest way to get a quote is just by sending us a picture of whatever pile you’ve got. We can get you a quote generally over the phone, but before reaching out, a basic pricing metric is listed below.

Some prices may change based on the weight of the items, location in the house, and size of how large they are, but below is a starting place:

  • Minimum Pickup: $200

  • Full load in Driveway/Curbside/Garage: $650

  • Full load going into customer’s house: $750

  • Full load of heavy/construction debris: $850

Disposal, Recycling, and Donation

Junk Generals is set apart by our commitment to keeping items out of the landfill. Our first stop is always a local charity or nonprofit. After that, we recycle whatever we can, including metal, cardboard, paper, yard waste, concrete, dirt, and brick. Finally, whatever’s left goes to a landfill or transfer station. In 2025, we were proud to recycle almost 100% of the appliances we picked up.
