We have been in business officially since 2018, but before that, as a high schooler, even younger than that, I had started hauling junk. I say officially in business since 2018 because that’s when we finally made the big step and got those things real businesses have: a business license and insurance.

Once we had all the real business stuff, that’s when we really started to take off. I turned into we as I hired our first employees, and we got a real work truck. Since then, we have been able to grow and grow, add trucks and equipment, and get to the point of having a full-time gig going on. Now, as we are continuing to grow, we are finally offering all of our services from full-scale junk removal to bobcat work and more, in every city in Gilmer County.

Gilmer County Locations

We have always, and continue to be, based in Marietta. After my whole life being down here, I’m tired of the Metro Atlanta life and ready to move north. We have always offered some work in Gilmer County, just not regular and often work up there. Over the years, some of the jobs we’ve done in Gilmer are kinda crazy. For example, we had one customer over in Ellijay who had a whole fence line that needed to be removed. After helping our customer get the fence removed, we were able to get it loaded up and hauled away.

Pricing

Our pricing structure is dependent on a few different factors. We charge based off of mostly the size of the load, but also have to factor in the weight of the items and how much labor is needed to remove it. An example is a king-sized mattress upstairs would cost more than a queen-sized in the garage, both based off of size, weight, and labor. With that said, there are a number of prices that generally are the same, so below are some basic bullets:

  • Minimum Pickup: $185

  • Full load in Driveway/Curbside/Garage: $650

  • Full load going into customer’s houses: $750

  • Full load of heavy/construction debris: $850

We have grown to the point where we are also set up to handle harder-to-dispose-of items like yard waste, dirt, concrete, pianos, mattresses, and paint. Disposal, Recycling, and Donation

We do our best to put an importance on donating and recycling. Once we have our truck loaded up with your items, we start by going to a local charity to give your items a second use. Whatever’s left, we carry on to a recycling facility. Ultimately, recycling is how we are able to get rid of most of the items! In 2025, we recycled almost 100% of the appliances we got.

Finally, whatever’s left, we drop off at a landfill or transfer station. The one thing you can always know, when hiring Junk Generals: whatever we haul away will be disposed of legally and responsibly.

Quite frankly, it is more expensive than if you do it yourself. But from the point of view of saving your back and your Saturday, we are just right! We are also considerably less expensive than the bigger companies with franchise fees and stuff like that.

Is anything too big or too small for Junk Generals?

As long as you are not looking for us to tear down the White House, we can handle it. We demo houses and sheds, then we haul off mattresses and boxes.
